You are responsible for deciding whether and how you interact with another User.

7. User Content
“User Content” includes video, audio, text, images and other information transmitted by Users through the Service.
You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content.
You grant LiveStranger a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to technically process, transmit, display and otherwise handle User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

You are responsible for the content you transmit through LiveStranger.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to transmit your User Content.
You must not transmit content that violates another person's copyright, privacy, personality rights or other legal rights.
You should assume that another User could potentially record or capture information that you display during a conversation.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.
Intentionally submitting false, abusive or fraudulent reports may itself constitute a violation of these Terms.
Where appropriate, we may review available information associated with a report to determine whether a violation occurred.
11. Moderation
We may take reasonable measures to protect Users, maintain the Service and enforce these Terms.
Depending on the circumstances, these measures may include:
- issuing warnings;
- disconnecting conversations;
- restricting features;
- removing content where technically applicable;
- temporarily suspending access;
- permanently banning Users;
- restricting accounts or devices;
- restricting IP addresses where appropriate; or
- referring suspected illegal activity to competent authorities where required by law.
Moderation decisions may be made using human review, automated systems or a combination of both.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide Users with information about moderation decisions and available methods of challenging those decisions.
12. Circumventing Bans
You must not intentionally circumvent a suspension, restriction or permanent ban.
Circumvention may include creating replacement accounts, manipulating device information, using automation or taking other technical measures intended specifically to defeat an access restriction.
Attempting to circumvent enforcement measures may result in additional restrictions.
13. Security and Malicious Activity
You must not:

Applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws protect these materials.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our intellectual property without permission.
15. Third-Party Services
LiveStranger may use or link to third-party services.
These may include hosting providers, analytics services, authentication services, communication infrastructure, payment processors or external websites.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our reasonable control.
16. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep LiveStranger available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, server failures, network problems, security incidents, third-party service interruptions, technical errors or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, update or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend access to LiveStranger where we reasonably believe that:
- these Terms have been violated;
- our Community Rules have been violated;
- a User poses a risk to other Users;
- fraudulent or malicious activity has occurred;
- the User is under 18;
- suspension is required by law; or
- restriction is reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its Users.
Serious violations may result in immediate permanent suspension.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide information concerning the reason for the restriction and any available complaint or appeal procedure.
18. User-to-User Interactions
LiveStranger provides the technical means for Users to communicate.
We do not control everything another User says or does.
Exercise appropriate caution when communicating with strangers online.
If you decide to communicate with a User outside LiveStranger or meet another User in person, you do so based on your own decision.
Never send money or financial information to someone simply because you met them through LiveStranger.
19. Paid Features
LiveStranger may offer optional paid features, digital services or subscriptions in the future.
Where paid services are offered, the applicable price, billing period, renewal conditions and cancellation rights will be presented before purchase.
Any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
Additional payment or refund terms may apply to paid services.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
In particular, we do not exclude liability for damage resulting from:
- intentional misconduct;
- gross negligence;
- injury to life, body or health where legally attributable to us; or
- liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
For ordinary negligence, liability may be limited in accordance with applicable German law, particularly where no essential contractual obligation has been breached.
Where liability arises from the negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability may be limited to damage that was reasonably foreseeable and typical for this type of contract, where legally permitted.
Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
21. No Guarantee Regarding Other Users
We do not guarantee:
- that another User has provided accurate information;
- another User's identity;
- another User's intentions;
- another User's behaviour;
- that a User will comply with these Terms; or
- that every violation will be detected before you encounter it.
Reporting and moderation systems reduce risk but cannot eliminate all harmful behaviour.
22. Changes to the Service
We may update or modify LiveStranger to improve functionality, security, safety or legal compliance.
Features may be introduced, changed or removed.
Where a change materially affects an existing contractual relationship with Users, we will comply with applicable notice and consent requirements.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of changes to the Service, new features, security requirements, legal or regulatory changes, or changes necessary to prevent abuse.
The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice before material changes become effective or obtain the User's consent.
24. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply in the User's country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable European Union or national law.
25. Severability
If an individual provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Applicable statutory provisions will apply in place of an invalid provision where required.
